Very disappointing. Got there at 10;30 am and animals were all asleep. No close access. Workers said they are most active between 8:00 and 9:00 when they feed them. Of course, Zoo doesn't open u… V4991GRjackw的完整评论

We regret you feel that way but as many might be unaware one, our pricing reflects the minimum necessary to keep our facility running while offering our animals the quality of life they need and deserve. Our tours our staff guided and after considering the cost of insuring, staffing, licensing and taxes we are forced to pay in California for offering such tours, there is little to nothing left over, even at those costs. We truly wish and hope for a day when our donor/sponsor support or the population of our tours afford us the ability to lower those prices and make our animals more available to greater numbers of people. Please note that we do offer greatly discounted pricing for annual passes to individuals and families to help reduce the costs of entrance. We are also working diligently to remodel the facility (as is very evident on the tours) which will afford us the ability to open the zoo to the public for self guided tours, many more hours in a given day.

There all rescues or from circus or places where they couldn't stay . Great human place . Elephants have lots room in twice size football stadium and large barns at night you can feed them at night. Staff have degrees in psychology and animal care from UC Davis and other colleges. Cabins comfortable and have showers and viewing decks like Africa. This is closer you can get to animals than San Diego Wild Animal park . A little expensive but once twice a lifetime . don't recommend between Late June and Late Sept as can get hot in area. There's a handicap cabin w ramp . My wife uses walker occasionally and shower was a walk in without a step over too . Go and support this place. When you drive up ; the gates look like Jurassic Oark
We are although some exhibits and activities might be closed for the health and safety of the animals. It's all dependent upon how bad the weather is but we generally stop open rain or shine.
How far is it from Monterey? Is there public transportation or do you need a cab or Uber
答:
It's exactly 15 miles and, as others have said, take about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Uber would be your best bet and probably cheaper than a taxi.
